Common questions
- What's actually available at launch?
- The free tier (10 credits at signup + 3 free each month) and three paid top-up tiers (10/$5, 30/$12, 100/$30) via Stripe Checkout. Closed-beta and friends-and-family also get credits today via an admin grant. Pro is visible on this page as a tease — it arrives in v2. Tap "Notify me at launch" on the Pro card to be first in line when it goes live.
- What does a paid credit get me?
- 1 credit = 1 tailored CV. Once an application is tailored, every downstream surface for it (clean export, interview prep, transcript debrief, application history, learning loop) is free. Top-up credits never expire; monthly free credits expire 60 days after they land.
- Why ship credits first and not the subscription?
- Subscriptions add real complexity (Customer Portal, renewals, churn, dunning) that's only worth building once we know people will pay for the wedge. The top-up tiers are the cheapest valid test of "will anyone pay at all." If the answer is yes, Pro follows quickly.
- Is there really no "unlimited" tier?
- No. When Pro lands in v2, the 30 applications/month cap covers normal power-user searches without us subsidising bots. If you genuinely need more, you're probably the wrong shape of user for this tool.
- Will I be able to cancel any time?
- Yes, when Pro lands. Stripe's customer portal will handle it directly. No retention dark patterns, no "call to cancel" forms, no email gauntlet.
- What's the difference between top-up credits and Pro?
- Top-ups (v1, live) are pay-as-you-go — buy 10, 30, or 100 credits at a time, they never expire, no subscription. Best for occasional or burst-y applying. Pro (v2) will be a monthly subscription for people in active hunt mode — a generous allowance, application tracker, and a learning loop that keeps compounding instead of resetting between top-ups.
- What if my free match score tells me to skip a job?
- That's the point. Free isn't a degraded preview — it's the same match score paid users get. Apply / Stretch / Skip with reasoning. Even if you never pay, you've saved yourself from sending a weak application.
- Is the product actually live?
- Yes — sign up free, get 10 credits, and you can tailor your first CV in minutes. Top-up pricing is live via Stripe; the free monthly allowance refreshes on the 1st. Pro is the only thing still pending — it ships in v2 at $19/mo for 60 credits.
